BLASTING...
Grit blasting, also known as sand blasting, is the perfect method to prepare for blacking or painting on whichever part of a steel boat that needs some TLC. Getting rust, dirt and old paint off as quickly and efficiently as possible keeps costs down and also means that the coating that follows looks better and lasts longer. Whether that’s the black below the waterline, the cabin sides, getting the roof ready for a lovely new paint-job or even a waste or water tank.
We recommend using the dry dock at Harvington Mill on the River Avon or MGM Boats on the River Soar, weather permitting.
Prices are from £13 per foot for blasting hull sides (excludes dock lifting).
Base plate £13 per foot (only narrowboats at present).
Minimum charge is £500 .
